What does tog mean?

Tog stands for Thermal Overall Grade. It measures how well a duvet traps warmth, not how thick it is. A fluffy duvet can have a lower tog than a thinner one with a denser filling.

Is my child too hot or too cold?

Feel the back of their neck or their chest, not their hands and feet, which are often cooler. Hot or clammy means remove a layer or use a lighter duvet.

Room temperature makes the biggest difference. See what to wear to bed by room temperature.
